The widespread ignorance of REAL history is one of the great engineered tragedies of our times. Civically speaking, to not possess even a superficial grasp of the past 150-200 years renders a citizen as clueless as a dementia patient wandering about the halls of a crowded football stadium during the halftime food and piss rush -- unable to read the seat assignment printed on his ticket, not knowing where he came from, where he is, or where he is going amidst all the noise -- and these people vote!
In this article, the Slimes laments the fact that test scores for History continue to decline. But don't be fooled. Their reasons for concern are wholly different than ours. The fear at "the paper of record" -- which defines history -- is that the dumber-than-ever students of today aren't learning the FAKE history either.

The job of "educators" is to churn out platitude-spewing Leftist dummies. Instead, they are now raising up a generation of just plain old non-political dummies. Ironically, we truthers can more easily influence those empty minds than those who have "learned," internalized and emotionalized the indoctrination of generations past. Give me a low-history-test-score know-nothing over a blockheaded "history proficient" pseudoscholar any day. The humble airhead -- free of the bad programming infecting the mind of the puffed-up know-it-all A-student -- is much more amenable to being truly educated from the ground up.
In the vacuum left behind by the ignorance of FAKE history, we of the Digital Army can fill the void with good stuff. Kei Kawashima-Ginsberg (cough cough by marriage) of Tufts University understands this, and expresses her concern --- which is clearly all about politics, not "education' --
"A base knowledge in history and civics is critical for students to become engaged, informed citizens, particularly amid misinformation on social media platforms."(emphasis added)

Translation: If we fail to instill the basics of historical Marxist ideology in these kids, they might become influenced by the truth when they go online.
Most of us have never really thought about this matter in this way. This "crisis" of the falling history test scores among 8th graders could actually be a blessing. In spite of all of the other mental and social problems with the crop of ignorant students now coming up, pig-headed stubbornness over false historical knowledge isn't going to be one of them, at least not as much.
